Pension Problems

Younger generations are feeling the strain of a growing ageing population. We chose this topic because it is a far-reaching problem whose consequences will affect us in the future. Our school has had a strong relationship with Goethe Gymnasium school in Ludwigsburg for over 60 years, and through this forum we hope to strengthen this connection.

1. – Reforms of retreats

Many countries have choose to repulse retreats in over 60 years. This proposition slow down the integration of teenagers in active world, it’s a real problem.
This choice goes with development demographic problems in Europe.

2. – Good or bad?

Indeed, keep the retirement age of 60 is not a good solution compared to the more longer life expectancy but on the other side ,climb retirement at age 62 considered a regression of acquired social. Indeed, after 40 years of work, you want retirement because some jobs are destructive for body and health requires retirement at age 60. Moreover, it frees more jobs for younger people.

3. – A difficult decision

In Germany, the government now has introduced a new project called "Every year counts". This project wants to animate retired people to contribute to society with their skills - voluntarily. Hence, even older people still have the feeling to do something "useful". Whether someone would like to work still in old age depends on his character, I think. 4. – Younger people need their awareness raised

The younger generation is unaware of what is going on in the world today. In the UK especially there are not enough lessons teaching about how pensions and other government schemes will affect us. As a teenage population we find it hard to understand or want to change problems which do not affect us.
