Presidential elections in France on 6th May

France has got a new president. The socialist François Hollande has won the presidency with 51.62% of the votes while former president Nicolas Sarkozy only obtained 48.38%.

Now France will see a real change of power. It is only the second time in the history of the Fifth Republic (since 1948) that a socialist moves into the Elysée Palace. The first left-wing president was François Mitterran ➔ Show full article …

6. – abwarten

3. – New president

For not a long time ago I was sure that N. Sarkozy is going to win, but when I heard the promises of the new president I am happy for that. On the other hand, who knows when the promises will end and when they will come true.
I do not know if this will change France to better state, stay the same or it will be worse but I know that this is new opportunity to France change the view for other cou ➔ Show full article …

1. – social or conservative

It’s different to have an socialist on power now because he has other views than a conservative.
A socialist has pros and contras, he wants to help his state than the other countries. -> l’UE
Also the relationship between Germany and France will change based on their programs. The relationship Merkozy has ended.
Maybe a good or bad change :D
